Making banana bread has never been easier! Whether you’re in a time crunch or just want a quick and healthy breakfast, Healthy Mini Air Fryer Banana Bread will be your favorite go-to recipe. If you’re a fan of my baked oatmeal recipes, you have to give this one a try. Simple, nutritious, and sweet–this fun new take on banana bread will have you wondering why you would make it any other way.
All about this recipe
This adorable mini air fryer banana bread (for one!) is such a quick, easy and delicious option for a healthy breakfast, snack or dessert. It is WW point and macro friendly, and easy enough to fit into anyone’s day for a sweet treat. For breakfast: serve this banana bread alongside your favorite breakfast components; maybe an omelet, a sausage patty, or just some fresh fruit. You can also serve this alongside yogurt with some extra protein. For dessert or a sweet snack, you can top this loaf with nut butter or whipped cream; you can also add chocolate chips to the batter if you are looking for a little extra sweetness.
What will I need to make Mini Air Fryer Banana Bread?
One of the great things about this recipe is that you probably already have everything on hand. As long as you have an air fryer and a small ramekin or baking dish–you’re ready to go! Many of the ingredients for this recipe are pantry staples; make sure you freeze your overripe bananas to have on hand at all times!
- Banana: overripe bananas work best here
- Vanilla extract
- Cinnamon
- Baking powder
- Maple syrup: I recommend using pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup or sugar free syrup. This recipe only uses 1/2 tablespoon, so using the real deal is recommended for optimal flavor and sweetness.
- Egg whites
- Oats
- Cane sugar
How to make this air fryer banana bread recipe
The best part about this recipe is that it is so simple!
Start by mashing the banana. Once you’ve done this, add in all of your other ingredients (except for the cane sugar which will be used for the top).
Pour your mixture into a greased small ramekin or baking dish. Sprinkle with the 1/4 tsp of cane sugar.
Place the small ramekin or baking dish in your air fryer at 350°F for 15 minutes.

What to serve with Healthy Mini Air Fryer Banana Bread
This recipe is sweet and satisfying on it’s own as a healthy treat–but also a great base for a more filling breakfast.
I like to serve this mini banana bread with nut butter drizzled on top! You can also opt to add sliced fruit, nonfat plain greek yogurt, breakfast sausages, eggs, etc.
If you like this recipe, you need to try my Maple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal. The flavors between these two are very similar. You won’t regret it!

Perks of making this recipe in the air fryer
Having an air fryer is a game changer. People don’t typically think of baking when looking for ways to use an air fryer–but it works great for this recipe! The air fryer gives the mini banana bread a great crisp on the outside, while still remaining soft and fluffy on the inside. Using the air fryer makes everything quick, easy, and delicious!
If you do not have an air fryer, you can absolutely use the conventional oven for this recipe: bake the loaf at 350 until set up; start with 15 minutes and check every so often until it is set up, but not burnt. The air fryer works as a convection oven, so if your oven has a convection feature, you can try that as well.
This is a mini loaf, so it should not take long to cook.

I will try it Looks good. Do you think I can make & cook two at a time in air fryer? It is very hot & humid here in London, Ontario and I hate to put the oven on so this would be great! I make your other oatmeal bakes frequently.
Thanks Cathie

Made this today-quick in the air fryer. Still a little moist after the 15 minutes but was ok.
Question- is there a way to use regular flour or wheat flour instead of the oats?
Tammy says
Yummy, not spongy but not dry. I ended up making 4 cupcake size muffins from one serving and I ended up using one whole egg.
Nicole says
This turned out so tasty! And if you cut it lengthwise down the middle it’s like getting those two yummy end pieces on the regular size loaf! I honestly will make this weekly! So easy and so good!

Can you bake at same temp and minutes in a standard oven?
Steph says
yes!

This was so good! I love bananas but don’t always have ripe on hand. I’m curious how it would be with unsweetened applesauce. Any idea on what the replacement would be? I’m thinking maybe a third cup.

So delicious! I love I can make one and not a whole loaf.
