How to make healthy yogurt marinated chicken
Healthy Yogurt Marinated Chicken couldn’t be more simple. You can opt to use your grill on a warm summer day, or break out your grill pan if the weather’s not on your side. I love this affordable grill pan from Amazon. It’s under $30 and holds up well. Watch my video here on how to cook grilled chicken on the stovetop. This makes it so you can make Healthy Yogurt Marinated Chicken year-round no matter the weather or season! However, if you’re able, I recommend using the real thing! The grill can be intimidating for some–but nothing beats the grill marks and flavor that comes from using an outdoor grill.
When I said simple, I wasn’t kidding. First, you will want to combine all the marinade ingredients (plain nonfat Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dried dill, dried oregano, salt, and garlic).
Next, you want to chop your chicken breast into bite sized pieces. Toss the chicken pieces in the marinade and…that’s it.
You can refrigerate the chicken in the marinade until you are ready to use. When you’re ready, pull the yogurt marinated chicken out of the fridge and toss it onto the grill. You’ll be just a few minutes away from a delicious and healthy dinner!

Family loved this marinade and asks for this dish repeatedly. Have made it 3 times in the past month. Has become part of my meal prep as well to have some fully cooked in the fridge for sandwiches or salad topper.

Can you marinate this overnight?

LOVED this chicken! I’ve tried other lightened versions of a Greek style chicken and they have always been gritty from the yogurt. With the marinade being made thinner with the lemon juice, it was perfect! This will definitely be added to the rotation 🙂

I loved the flavor of this. Definitely different than anything I have made before. I did not have skewers, so I just threw the chicken on the grill, and I would say it is my fault the cook was uneven. I also then saw a FN show, and the cook mentioned that when you use a metal skewer you cook from the outside in and the inside out – and get a more even cook. So – I will definitely try that next time. Served with pita, lettuce, Tzatziki, and some feta crumbles for my husband. I will definitely make this again — and am looking forward to the leftovers as a salad tonight!

This was FANTASTIC!! It is now our favorite Greek-like chicken <3 I really like the addition of the dill weed, it added a little extra zing to the flavor! I made tzatziki sauce to go with it and we did wraps with chopped tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and feta cheese. I did marinate the chicken for two days in the fridge and I think that made it even more tender. Thank you for sharing this recipe! 🙂
