If you are like me and baking isn’t your forte, it’s great to have alternatives for homemade sweet treats. And this healthy four ingredient no-bake chocolate treat is the perfect solution! Only four ingredients and ready in minutes (no cooking required), this healthy sweet treat makes for a great snack or dessert when you are on a wellness journey. This chocolate treat is a cross between a mousse and a pudding, so I wasn’t sure what to call it; but I do know one thing, that it is absolutely delicious. You can eat this treat as is, or you can use it as a dip for fruit. You can also layer it into a parfait with berries and top with whipped cream.
What you’ll need to make this healthy four ingredient no-bake chocolate treat
The beauty of this recipe is that it only requires 4 ingredients, most of which you might have on hand.
- reduced fat cottage cheese
- This is my favorite brand: Cottage Cheese – Good Culture
- pure maple syrup
- I do not recommend using sugar free here, since pure maple syrup is used as the sweetening agent for this recipe
- If you want to keep this recipe lower WW point, you can swap the maple syrup out for sugar free alternatives
- unsweetened cocoa powder
- vanilla extract
How to make this recipe
This recipe is beyond easy to make; no cooking required. All you need to do is add the four ingredients into a blender or food processor and whip them for several minutes, until all of the curds in the cottage cheese are broken down and the mixture is silky in consistency.
To serve, you can eat this delicious treat on its own, or you can layer it in a parfait with fruit and whipped topping, or you can serve it as a dip with pretzels, fruit, etc.

This recipe was super easy and FUN to make … a sweet treat with a decent amount of protein and great flavor is a welcome addition to SweetSavoryandSteph.com’s “recipe book”. But I’m still a fan of Steph’s blueberry Cobbler!

I made a different receipt before but with fat free cottage cheese to keep the points low. And I added lakanto powdered sugar. I am looking forward to trying this

So yummy! Wish I had strawberries to dip in. My isn’t as thick looking, but wonder if it’ll thicken up from being in the fridge or maybe I’ll try to freeze it

Delicious, especially with strawberries! The second time I made it I added 1/2 – 1 Tbs of sugar free pudding mix. Totally upped the thickness and chocolateness!

Wow! Maybe the best way to have cottage cheese ever! I can see this with sliced bananas or chocolate chips or blueberries added. What a great afternoon treat. Thank you!

I made this and oh my, shockingly good 😊
Sue says
It had the look and texture of a frosty. But…. it tasted like cottage cheese. I added more cocoa and maple syrup but it was still tart and tasted like cottage cheese. Yuk for me.
Priscilla says
This is not very good. I added another Tbs. of cocoa then some agave. Still not great. It tasted better after I added a big spoonful of plain yogurt. I’ll stick with tofu chocolate pudding.
Judy says
Made the recipe exactly as instructed and it was on the bland side. Wish it had more taste to it. Texture is very mousse like.

Amazing. Tastes like chocolate cheesecake in smooth pudding form. I added a tiny bit of stevia after tasting the original recipe to make it less sour. But the original recipe reminds me of cheesecake for sure. Thank you for sharing!
