Preheat the oven to 400F.
Scoop the core of the apple out, leaving the bottom in tact so you create an opening for the stuffing.
Mix the butter, oats, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg together in a small bowl.
Place the mixture inside of the apple.
Place the stuffed apple in the small baking dish, and add water to the pan, to about 1" height.
Bake for 40 minutes or until the apple is tender (depending on the size of the apple, cook time will vary).
