Ingredients
14ozshaved beef steak1 package; such as Old Neighborhood brand
2tbspcorn starch
non-stick cooking spray
1tspsesame oil
4scallions
4clovesgarlic
1tspgingereither fresh ginger root, or the squeeze tube
1/4cupbrown sugar
1/4cupwater
3tbsplow sodium soy sauce
2tspsriracha
Instructions
Preheat a frying pan or wok over medium high heat.
Toss the shaved beef in the corn starch.
Spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray, and add the beef.
Cook for 5-6 minutes, tossing frequently to separate the pieces of beef.
Cook until the beef has crispy edges, and is no longer pink.
Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
Chop the scallions and separate the white parts from the green.
Mince the garlic.
Add the sesame oil to the pan.
Add the white part of the scallion, the garlic, and the ginger to the pan with the sesame oil.
Saute for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, water, soy sauce, and sriracha.
Add the sauce to the pan, stir to combine.
Add the cooked beef back to the pan with the sauce.
Let the beef simmer for a few minutes to absorb the sauce.
Garnish with the chopped green ends of the scallions.
