Ingredients
2 cupsold fashioned oats
1/2cupcoconut sugar
1tspcinnamon
1tspalmond extract
1 tspbaking powder
1/4tspkosher salt
1/4cupunsweetened applesauce
1/2cupunsweetened almond milk
2eggs
3/4ozno sugar added chocolate chipsused: Hu brand
1/4cupslivered almonds
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Line a 9x 13 baking dish with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the oats with the coconut sugar, cinnamon, almond extract, baking powder and kosher salt.
Add the applesauce, milk and eggs.
Stir to combine. Fold in half of the chocolate chips and almonds.
Pour the mixture into the baking dish and top with the remaining chocolate chips and almonds.
Bake for 30 minutes or until set up. Allow to cool and cut into 8 bars.
